FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: rapier loom has at least one raper installed on inserter executing translational motion in shed. Inserter is directed in shed by both sides on guide pins in guide recesses at some distance from warp. Guide recesses of guide pins facing reed have in each case lower guide surface which runs at least parallel to plane of inserter and opening at some angle with respect to plane of inserter towards inserter and upper guide surface. In this case, edge of inserter entering guide recesses has respective cross-section. Angle α of upper guide surface of guide pins facing reed is selected so that the upper guide surface, when leaving lower shed and crossing warp, will form angle β≥ 5 deg with respect to them. Inserter has superstructure on lower side between edges. EFFECT: higher operating efficiency. 8 cl, 9 dwg
