FIELD: automatic control equipment, in particular, for regulation of characteristics in industry and home appliances. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting five levels for signals to be regulated: nominal level, which is equal to given value and serves for switching positions of regulator, two adaptation values, which differ from nominal level by ±δ, and two re-adaptation values, which differ from nominal level by ±Δ; . When signal of regulated value runs out of adaptation range, method involves alternation of value of signal of position which does not influence object at the moment by step ΔU towards its convergence with signal of actual position. When signals runs out of re-adaptation range, current position is assigned to its extreme value. In addition method involves continuous comparison of signals of positions. EFFECT: improved quality of two position automatic control for objects with alternating load. 2 dwg
