FIELD: production of current-conducting materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of suspension consisting of current-conducting filler in the form of engineering carbon, binding agent in the form of polyvinyl alcohol, surfactant in the form of flotation agent oxal and water with respective amounts of components, and application of this suspension to material by impregnation with simultaneous squeezing in fixed gap between rubberized and steel shafts. EFFECT: reduced weight of one square meter of material and resistivity, and increased elongation. 3 tbl
