FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method relates to effect of stormy waves brought to bear on coastal objects. Water medium in its motion encounters members which are represented by vessels having openings in their upper part and sea facing part. Located inside each vessel is flexible shell containing gas medium. Flexible shell is deformed at changing of gydrostatic pressure. Aforesaid barrier members are positioned at angle to direction of waves motion so that each member simultaneously catches hollow and ridge of wave. Flexible shell is located inside vessel so that in cross-section it occupies about half of cross-sectional area of vessel. Barrier members are interconnected to each other by piping. Application of aforesaid method allows for retarding motion of water mass in bottom zone towards coast, thus increasing efficiency of wave dampening. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl
