FIELD: mechanical engineering, repair operations. SUBSTANCE: gear measuring angular arrangement of crankpins has testing plate, two supporting prisms for positioning extreme crankpins in them put on plate. Gear is fitted with reading unit that includes two extendible arms put in parallel to testing plate, indicator mounted on one of arms for contact with one of crankpins. The other arm carries rest contacting another crankpin. Gear also has shaped plate made to be mounted on crankpin under distribution gearing and vertical column located perpendicular to testing plate for contact with side of shaped plate to orient crankshaft relative to testing plate.
