FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method relates to control of turnstiles used for selective passing of people. Turnstile device has interlocking member rotating around rigidly installed control axle. When device is actuated other interlocking members are extending from control axle. Interlocking members can move from working positions to idle positions by turning around control axle successively from one position to other for clearing of passage. In case of event obstructing normal functioning of device, such as breaking of power supply, at least one interlocking member being in interlocking position can move from interlocking position to idle position. After elimination of cause which generated shifting of interlocking member, it is moved to working position by return forces acting relative to control axle. Interlocking member has actuating connection with electric motor used for successive shifting. After elimination of cause which made interlocking member moving to working position, successive shifting by at least one step makes interlocking member moving. Aforesaid arrangement permits turnstile device to return to normal working condition in case of some temporary obstructing event. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 5 dwg
