FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: reactor used for automatic correction of capacitive ground-fault current in 6-35 kV lines by acting on its inductance coil inserted into neutral circuit of power transformer incorporates provision for continuous follow-up of capacitive reactance of zero- sequence circuit under normal conditions due to inserting industrial- frequency source through reactor into neutral and measuring respective currents and voltages at this frequency. Upon occurrence of ground fault, inductance coil of adjustable blow-out reactor is resonance-tuned to circuit reactance measured earlier by means of closed-circuit automatic-control system by comparing this reactance with present value of reactor as function of its current and voltage at industrial frequency. Resonance phenomena do not occur under normal conditions with reactor value known to be high. In case of ground fault, reactor is immediately accurately adjusted due to closed automatic-control channel which follows up present values of current, voltage, and reactance irrespective of nonlinear characteristics of reactor and control system. EFFECT: improved correction accuracy and operating reliability of line. 2 cl, 1 dwg
