FIELD: electrical engineering, in particular, high-power synchronous and induction electric motors with parallel branches in stator windings. SUBSTANCE: device has two stator windings or two parallel stator windings and shared rotor. Each of said windings is connected to independent power supply with phase alternation. Upon start, one stator winding is connected to stator. Upon electric motor rotates, another winding is connected to its power supply. When power supply is lost in one stator winding, for example, due to short circuit in mains of one power supply, second winding which is connected to another power supply provides operations of electric motor. EFFECT: increased reliability, increased protection against short circuits. 3 dwg
