FIELD: transport engineering; road-building machinery. SUBSTANCE: to provide control over transmission two stable conditions of control member are set depending on rotational speed of one of shafts of planetary transmission at shifting- in or interlocking of planetary transmission, respectively. Gearshift direction signal is formed. If shifting is done to decrease gear ratio, new signal is formed which is supplied to control member and changes its relay characteristics to engage planetary transmission and to lock transmission in engaged position. If shifting in gearbox is done to increase gear ratio, other signal is formed which is supplied to control member and changes its relay characteristic to lock planetary transmission in engaged position. Transmission is held locked under action of formed signals during time exceeding time of complete engagement of friction clutch of planetary transmission and friction clutch of shifted-in gear of gearbox. Versions are developed with supply of additional signals to control member depending on engine load and from change-over device and from gear shifted. Invention provides description of transmission control with hydraulic and electronic control member. EFFECT: increased number of speed without breaking power flow, simplified and facilitated control. 9 cl, 15 dwg
