FIELD: production of propylene oxide in combination with styrene, and petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: aqueous condensate resulting from condensation of contact gas during dehydration of methylphenyl carbinol is subjected to vacuum rectification from propanal which is hexenal forming source having boiling temperature close to that of styrene. EFFECT: stable quality of styrene rectificate with respect to oxygen-containing compounds in combined production of propylene oxide and styrene, and reduced total consumption of raw materials and energy resources. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
