FIELD: organic technology, namely, production of anhydrous medicinal ether. SUBSTANCE: method involves dehydration of ethyl alcohol with the help of sulfuric acid. Waste of production of rectified ethyl alcohol of food raw materials which is purified by rectification in the presence of 3-4 % solution of sodium hydroxide is used as source of ethyl alcohol. Ethyl ether being prepared after dehydration of alcohol is isolated by rectification in the presence of 8-12 % solution of sodium hydroxide and is dried by 45-50 % alkali in counterflow extraction column. Thus obtained dry medicinal ether has moisture content not more than 0.1 %. EFFECT: simplified technological scheme of the method; improved efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
