FIELD: mechanical and transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: engine has hydraulic motor, hydraulic cylinders with hydraulic pistons connected with working pistons by links. Corresponding pistons, cylinders and links are located on one longitudinal axis. Crankshaft axis is displaced from extension of this axis, and crankshaft proper is connected with link by connecting rods. Drive shaft of hydraulic motor is mechanically coupled with propeller shaft. Proposed invention provides reduction of fuel consumption and increased in service life of cylinder-piston group owing to relieving of crank-and-connecting rod mechanism from function of conversion of reciprocating motion of pistons into rotary motion of propeller shaft and passing this function to hydraulic system using hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic motor.
