SUBSTANCE: novelty in design of internal combustion engine is that cylinder has truncated base and slot and is installed so that axis of crankshaft is displaced from extension of longitudinal axis of cylinder by 1/4-1/2 of radius of crankpin rotation towards crankpin side with piston moving from bottom dead center to top dead center. EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption, increased service life of cylinder-piston group owing to decrease in piston side pressure on cylinder walls and increase in force rotating the crankshaft. 3 dwg
