METHOD FOR EVALUATING MORPHOLOGIC CHANGES OF LIVER IN THE CASES OF ACUTE ISCHEMIA Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves examining morphologic factors like granular, hydropic and balloon degeneration, necrosis, intra- and extracellular cholestasis, sinusoid, central veins and biliary ducts dilatation, availability of stasis in the sinusoids. Coefficient of A is assigned to each factor that shows factor value in the whole factor set under study. B mark is assigned to define factor characteristic value. Informativity index (II) is evaluated as AxB product and sum of II (SII) is calculated by summing up II values of all factors. Liver tissues morphologic changes index in acute ischemia cases is MCI=SII/N, where N is the morphologic factors number equal to 10. MCI scores being equal to 1 to 3(included), light injury case is diagnosed. The MCI scores being greater than 3 less than or equal to 6, moderate degree injury is diagnosed. The MCI being greater than 6 and less than or equal to 12, severe injury is diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy in evaluating anesthetic operation risk. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
