FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: boring cutter includes holder, two cutting members placed in holder and mutually joined with outer and inner axial gaps and device for moving cutting members. Said device is in the form of heater and heat pipe with heat transfer agent. End portions of heat pipe are connected with cutting members, its mean portion has thin-wall corrugations and it is placed in cavity including easy-to-melt alloy. Heater is arranged in zone of heat pipe corrugations. Boring cutter is also provided with induction coil embracing outer surfaces of cutting members in zone of outer axial air gap and in zone of placing easy-to-melt alloy. The last is selected in such a way that its melting temperature is lower than boiling temperature of heat transfer agent of heat pipe; finely divided ferromagnetic particles are introduced in alloy. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of boring cutter, increased accuracy at setting according to predetermined dimension. 1 dwg
