SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing exothermal mixture of two or three powders; placing mixture into mold; initiating in mixture self-spreading reaction of high-temperature synthesis (thermosynthesis) provided by heating mixture by outer space electromagnetic field to temperature causing thermal explosion in the mixture; compacting reaction product initially at the moment exothermal mixture reaches maximum interaction temperature and conducting compaction process at temperature ranging from maximum interaction temperature to temperature of viscoelastic transfer of reaction product or at temperature ranging from maximum interaction temperature to temperature of viscofragile transfer or at temperature ranging from maximum interaction temperature to temperature of plastic transfer of most low melting temperature phase in reaction product for two or multiple-phase reaction product. Upon compaction of reaction product, billet is withdrawn from mold and subjected to final treatment. Space electromagnetic field is the field of vortex currents induced in the mixture of powders or the field of microwave oscillations induced in the mixture.
