REAMER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2131332 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, metal working. SUBSTANCE: reamer has casing 1 with opening extending along its longitudinal axis, holders 3 mounted within casing 1, cutting plates 2 fixed in holders 3, wedges 6, flexible member 10 adapted for embracing outer surfaces of holders 3, locking member 8, conical wedge 5 and insert 4 manufactured from material with high linear expansion coefficient. One end of insert 4 is in contact with casing and other end - with end of conical wedge 5, which is mounted for axial displacement and spring-loaded relative to locking member 8. Such construction of tool allows working capacity to be increased and surface roughness of hole under working process to be kept. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
