Improved resistance to carbonization and embrittlement of central tubular lattice of thermal non- catalytic reaction system is attained by coating the lattice with copper, tin arsenic, antimony, germanium, gallium, indium, selenium, tellurium, lead, bismuth or chromium, or alloys thereof. Method makes it possible to carry out dealkylation of hydrodealkylating hydrocarbon without sulfur.
