FIELD: floor covers with low stretchability and high stability of sizes. SUBSTANCE: cover is made of polymer-containing napped material which is attached to polymer-containing first layer of base. Attached to back side of base first layer is lower second layer of base by means of intermediate adhesive layer. The second layer of base includes needle-punctured fibrous structure from thermoplastic polymer-containing continuous or cut fibers bound with one another by means of heating. Adhesive layer consists of organic polymer-containing binding agent activated by heating. At least the second layer of base and/or binding agent consists to a large extent of material suitable for processing. After manufacture, carpet is wound on full-wide rollers and may be partially cut into carpet plates. So carpet plates and wide-woven carpets may be manufactured in the course of the same production process. Floor cover features the same strength, nonshrinkability as wide-woven carpets with exclusion of undesired effect on environment in destruction of used cover. Floor cover is suitable for integral carpets and for carpet plates. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 27 cl, 12 dwg
