METHOD FOR KEEPING CYCLING SWINE DURING PREIMPREGNATION PERIOD Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: reproduction of farm animals, in particular, swine breeding. SUBSTANCE: method involves group keeping of swine; determining their hormonal status with following impregnation of specimens which have come to standing heat state. All swine of group are controlled for hormonal status by examining blood serum content for level of progesterone and estradiol-17/3, with following controlling of blood serum content in groups formed on the basis of hormonal status at blood taking time. Impregnation of groups is performed in succession at 3-day intervals. Group forming is performed on the basis of content of progesterone and estradiol-17/3: 1st group - progesterone (ng/ml) - 2.5-1.1, estradiol-17/3 (pg/ml) 14.9-2.3; 2nd group - 2.6-16.2, 10.2-13.9; 3rd group - 16.3-30.7, 10.1-5.5; 4th group - 30.8-23.1, 5.4-3.2; 5th group - 17.2-23.0, 4.3-2.1; 6th group 17.1-2.6, 2.2-5.2, respectively.
