APPARATUS FOR CLEARING HIGHLY COLORED WATER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2157345 C1

FIELD: clearing and conditioning of contaminated natural waters. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has rectangular housing with prismatic bottom, system for supplying water to be cleared, clear water and sediment discharge system, and contact coagulation working zone. Water adapted to be cleared is treated with coagulant. Working zone is equipped with spatial carcass. Doubled small-cell netted fabrics are fastened in zigzag path on carcass through the whole height of working zone. Netted fabrics are extending in straight and diagonal directions one relative to the other at pitch ranging from 70 to 150 mm. Apparatus of such construction allows highly colored contaminated waters difficult for clearing to be effectively recovered, and organic compounds to be prevented from getting into municipal water pipe. EFFECT: increased efficiency in clearing contaminated waters and reduced operating costs. 3 dwg
