FIELD: gas treatment catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to treating auto-car exhaust gases and gases emitted from spray-painting chambers and other production installations when emission gases contain toxic substances and carbon monoxide. Catalyst is prepared by coating, in dipping mode, surface of metal, glass cloth, or ceramics with suspension containing 18-20% CrO3, 18-20% Cr2O3, 30-32% MnO2 in demineralized water, followed by drying at temperature not exceeding 80 C for 4 hr and calcination at 300-400 C for at least 1 hr.
