METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF PNEUMATIC TYRE CASINGS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: tyre industry. SUBSTANCE: in proposed method of manufacture of pneumatic tyre casings tyre blank is formed and installed on tyre chuck, bead rings are installed with clearance relative to tyre blank and threads are laid onto tyre blank in meridional direction from one bead ring to the other. In process of laying, threads are fed in form of two C-shaped loops from top and bottom to first bead ring. First thread gripping and holding device is placed in space between threads of two loops. This device grips lower loop and passes it through upper loop forming U-shaped branch of lower loop. Following coil of threads is laid in two parallel C-shaped loops from top and bottom to second bead ring. Loop is formed on second bead ring by means of second thread gripping and holding device. This done, following loop on first bead ring is formed. For this purpose last is passed through U-shaped branch of preceding loop by means of first thread gripping and holding device to form loop knot on bead ring. Then process of thread laying is continued with forming on each bead ring a common loop seam from loop knots connecting coils of threads laid on tyre blank, one after another. Then bead rings are shifted from winding position into working position. Knots of loop seams are displaced along surface of bead rings to zone which not in contact with side surface of tyre blank. Then following component layers are applied to blank. EFFECT: provision of strong wear resistant carcass on tyre blank by threads uniformly covering tyre blank surface. 5 cl, 1 dwg
