FIELD: solid fuel liquefaction. SUBSTANCE: coal-oil paste is first prepared from coal, paste-former, and iron- containing catalyst subjected to mechanochemical treatment with sulfur. Paste is then heated at elevated pressure under hydrogen atmosphere to yield synthetic motor fuel. Said paste-former is high-boiling coal- hydrogenate fraction after its thermal cracking in water vapor medium on iron oxides at 450-500 C. Paste is preliminarily mixed with catalyst.
