SELF-CONTAINED BOTTOMHOLE RECORDER OF FORCE PARAMETERS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: well drilling equipment, in particular, self-contained technical means of monitoring of bottomhole parameters; applicable in recording of longitudinal and transverse forces and torque acting on drill string in bottomhole assembly of drill string above drilling bit in course of borehole drilling. SUBSTANCE: recorder has body made in the form of sub and is installed in drill string and containing container of electronic unit and power unit, multichannel measurement member of force parameters. Electronic unit includes multichannel amplifier, multichannel digitizer, processor and on-line memory. The latter consists of microcircuits of static memory with address inputs-leads, inputs-outputs-leads of data and inputs-leads of record, readout and selection of microcircuits. Electronic unit has two sources of reference voltage, two AND elements, and each channel has electronic switch with four inputs, one output and control circuit. Multichannel measurement member of force parameters is used in the form of strain transducer of axial force, two mutually perpendicular transverse forces and torque. EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurement, recording of absolute values of force parameters varying with frequency up to 3 kHz and increased memory size for digital recording of force parameters. 2 cl, 1 dwg
