FIELD: foam breaking technology, specifically, electrophysical breaking of foam. SUBSTANCE: gear has tank with foam forming fluid, suppressor and power supply source. Suppressor has positive electrode composed of system of rods submerged in fluid, negative electrode composed of system of pointed members made from semiconductor material. Rods of positive electrode form structure with hexagonal cell. Members of negative electrode are placed in center of cells of positive electrodes. Side of cells and length of pointed member has size a, distance from foam surface to upper ends of rods is b and distance c to lower ends of pointed members lies in relation: b=2.73a; c= 1.73a. Power supply source should have voltage not less than 10-15 kV and intensity of field near foam surface should be 106 V/m.
