FIELD: organic chemistry and chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the synthesis of trioxane on the basis of formaldehyde aqueous solutions and using acid catalysts, for example, heteropolyacids. Trioxane is a cyclic trimmer of formaldehyde and used as the parent substance for polyacetales synthesis. Method involves the synthesis of trioxane on the basis of the formaldehyde aqueous solution at catalysis by W-ми heteropolyacids in regime of the combined chemical reaction. The synthesized compound is isolated from reaction zone by rectification or distillation methods by addition inorganic salts to the reaction mixture at amount 0.5-15 wt.-% where salt to be added is taken from the following set: . Method ensures to increase the conversion degree of formaldehyde to trioxane and decrease recycle of unreacted formaldehyde. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis, increased yield of the end product. 1 cl, 1 tbl, 39 ex
