SUBSTANCE: wood polymeric composition comprises polyelectrolyte, cross- linking agent and organic peroxide, ratio of components being as follows, wt.%: dispersed wood-vegetable filler, 70-90; thermoplastic polymeric binder, 5-30; polyelectrolyte, 0.5-2.0; cross linking agent, 0.5-5.0; organic peroxide, 0.5-2.0; and desired additives, the balance. Cross linking agent is preferable triethylene dimethacrylate or ethylene glycol dimethacrylate. In order to prepare wood polymeric composition, wood vegetable filler is treated with polyelectrolyte, during or after drying operation, it is impregnated with cross- linking agent, and treated dry wood-vegetable filler is then mixed with other dry composition components is mixed to form homogeneous mixture.
