FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: high-octane oxygen-containing motor fuel component comprises C5, hydrocarbons, methyl-tert- amyl ether and C10, hydrocarbons and it further comprises methyl-sec-amylene ether, tert-amyl alcohol and isoprene ethers resulting from production of alkyl-tert-alkyl ethers. C5 hydrocarbons includes mixture of unreacted C5 hydrocarbons during isolation of isoprene from C5 pyrolysis hydrocarbons and during two-stage dehydrogenation of isopentane to isoprene, and C10 hydrocarbons includes mixture of isoprene and pentadiene- 1,3 dimers, ratio of components being as follows, wt. %: mixture of unreacted C5 hydrocarbons, 0.1-10.0; methyl- tert-amyl ether, 2.0-50.0; methyl-sec-amylene ether, 40.0-95.0; isoprene ethers 0.1-5.0; tert-amyl alcohol, 0.05-5.0; C10 hydrocarbons, 0.05-5.0.
