FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: process, wherein tert-alkenes contained in hydrocarbon catalytic cracking products are brought into interaction with C1-C2- alcohol(s) in presence of acid cationites, is distinguished by that catalytic cracking products are first subjected to rectification to isolate mixture containing major part of C5-hydrocarbons formed in catalytic cracking, including 2- methyl- 1-butene and 2-methyl-2-butene with at least 2%, preferably at least 5%, C6- hydrocarbons, which mixture interacts with C1-C2-alcohol(s) in presence of acid cationite(s) in reaction zone(s) and resulting reaction mixture, immediately or after distilling off most volatile components, is combined with gasoline in proportion preventing that content of alcohol in mixed gasoline exceeds safe limit. A process is also described, in which catalytic cracking products are separated into (i) stream mainly containing C5 and/or C5-C6-hydrocarbons, including tert-pentenes, and optionally up to 25% C4-hydrocarbons and (ii) stream mainly containing C4-hydrocarbons, including isobutene, and partly C5- hydrocarbons, the two streams being then separately subjected to interaction with alcohol(s) in presence of acid cationite(s) in straight-current reaction zones to give reaction mixtures, which are subjected to rectification and/or catalytic rectification in a single system, preferably with separate inlets for feed streams, to produce distillate chiefly containing unreacted C4- hydrocarbons and bottom stream containing alkyl tert-alkyl ether(s) and C5 or C5-C6- hydrocarbons.
