FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: device is used in geophysical investigations of wells. Device has supporting frame, hydraulic cylinder with plunger. Built in plunger is pressure sensor which is connected by electric link with indication unit. Also provided are three guiding rollers. One roller is movable and it is installed on lever. One end of lever is pivotally connected with supporting frame. Other end of lever is connected with plunger through resilient member. Aforesaid embodiment of device allows for reduction of its weight, enhancing accuracy in measuring length of logging cable and increasing service life of logging cable.
