SUBSTANCE: electric signal from each sensor is subjected to spectral treatment through determination of set of spectra, forming mobile sequence from them which includes N successive spectra and is continuously regenerated by addition of one new spectrum and removal of oldest one and determination of amplitude spectrum averaged by sequence. Device for realization of method is provided with analog multiplexer whose inputs are connected with K measuring channels ((K ≤ 1)) and interface; standardizing amplifier whose inputs are connected with output of analog multiplexer and interface and its output is connected with analog-to-digital converter connected in its turn to interface by data loss calculating unit whose input is connected with output of analog-to-digital converter, programming divider whose input is connected with reference frequency generator and output is connected to input of analog-to-digital converter through trigger pulse shaping unit which is connected in series. Input of unit and input of programming divider are connected to interface. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of leak location. 7 cl, 1 dwg
