FIELD: agriculture, in particular, accumulation of moisture in soil. SUBSTANCE: method involves mowing down wintered and grown green manure crop 5-7 days after beginning of bud formation at height of 18-22 cm; leaving minced biomass on soil surface; mincing and plowing in newly grown green manure crop aftermath, when daily mean temperature drops to 4-5 C; performing soil slitting for 40-45 cm depth, when soil is frozen to 8-10 cm depth. Method allows soil moisture content to be increased by transfer of atmospheric moisture into soil-saturation moisture. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced evaporation losses. 1 ex
