FIELD: concentration of minerals; concentration of ores and placers by wet gravity separation in pulp flowing over inclined working surface. SUBSTANCE: separator includes feeder and four separation stages located in vertical axis; separation stages are interconnected by means of pulp lines. Each separation stage consists of pulp distributor, working surface made in form of overturned truncated cone-shaped or pyramid-shaped surface and unloading unit with cutoff device. Unloading unit has first outlet for first heavy fraction and second outlet for light fraction; outlets of unloading unit of first stage are connected with pulp distributor of second stage and beginning with second stage, respective pulp distributor, working surface and cutoff of unloading unit are mainly subdivided into first and second parts by radial partitions; first outlet of unloading unit of first stage is connected with inlet of first part of pulp distributor of second stage; inlet of its second part is connected with second outlet of unloading unit of first stage; beginning with second stage, unloading unit includes additionally third outlet for first middlings. EFFECT: enhanced operational efficiency of separator due to complete loading of working surface of all stages at reduced number of separation stage. 5 cl, 3 dwg
