FIELD: mineral concentration processes and equipment, namely gravity concentration of fine-grain mineral raw material such as ores of rare, non-ferrous metals, iron ores, coal.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for gravity concentration of mineral raw material includes inclined chute formed at least of two sections mounted successively in direction of pulp flow. On bottom of each section in direction of pulp flow splitter is arranged for dividing pulp flow by separate narrowed pulp flows. Narrowed portion of splitter is turned towards pulp flow. Splitter is in the form of wedge in front of which in each section of chute there is free space. Behind said wedge in bottom of sections across pulp flow there are slits of discharging unit. The last is mounted in upper part of inclined chute. Each section is provided on its bottom with additional splitter in the form of wedge. All wedges are placed in row crossing pulp flow with mutual gap and they have two working surfaces. Lateral wedges have one working surface. Working surfaces of all wedges are curvilinear. Total width of gap at outlet of pulp flow between wedges is equal to 1/3 of width of chute section. In each section of chute in front of wedges length of free space along pulp flow is equal to length of one wedge.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of extracting heavy fraction.
