FIELD: aviation; devices for protection of flying vehicle engines against foreign object ingestion. SUBSTANCE: device includes movable lower panel mounted in case of air intake. Movable lower panel is intended for forward motion in horizontal direction. It is made from two rectangular panel which are intended to perform horizontal reciprocating motion in opposite direction relative to each other at oscillation period of T=0.5-3.0 s. Length of panels is related to height B of midsection of air intake at the following relationship . Width bl of panels is related to width L of midsection of air intake at the following relationship . EFFECT: reduced probability of suction of vortex core inside air intake together with foreign matter. 2 dwg
