FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle transmissions. SUBSTANCE: planetary gearbox has four planetary mechanisms two of which are made single-row, friction clutch and four brakes. Output shaft of gearbox is meshed with sun gears of first and second planetary mechanisms, and through friction clutch, with epicyclic gear of first planetary mechanism. Epicyclic gear of second planetary mechanism is meshed with carrier of first planetary mechanism and with sun gears of third and fourth planetary mechanisms. Carrier of second planetary mechanism is meshed through carrier of fourth planetary mechanism with epicyclic gear of third planetary mechanism. brakes are installed on epicyclic gears of first, second and fourth planetary mechanisms and on carrier of third planetary mechanism. Planetary gearbox has four forward speeds and one reverse speed. One control member is engaged when shifting in each speed.
