FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to transmissions used predominantly in vehicles. Planetary transmission has four single-row planetary gears, two friction clutches and four brakes. Sun gear of first planetary mechanism is coupled to input shaft and to epicyclical gear of same planetary mechanism via first friction clutch. Carrier of first planetary mechanism is tied up to epicyclical gear of second planetary mechanism. Carrier of second planetary mechanism is coupled to epicyclical gear of third planetary mechanism, to carrier of fourth planetary mechanism, to output shaft and to epicyclical gear of fourth planetary mechanism via second friction clutch. Sun gears of second and third planetary mechanisms are intercoupled. Carrier of third planetary mechanism and sun gear of fourth planetary mechanism are intercoupled. Brakes are mounted on epicyclical gears of first and fourth planetary mechanisms, sun gear of second planetary mechanism and carrier of third planetary mechanism.
