FIELD: refrigerating engineering; freezing products by means of cryogenic fluid. SUBSTANCE: products are placed in reservoir containing liquid refrigerant and bubbling is effected through liquid nitrogen. Prior to loading, product is raised from reservoir. To this end, refrigerant is pumped into corrugated cushion secured on bottom of reservoir. Rate of raising the products is brought in synchronism with rate of discharge onto belt conveyor.
