FIELD: interpolation of time intervals. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based on detection of moment of coincidence of signal across output of nonius generator with one of set of basic and auxiliary reference signals shifted one relative another. Method differs from other known procedures by introduction of additional calibration mode during which correction determined as number of nonius pulses between coincidences of nonius signals with auxiliary and basic reference signals is found per each auxiliary reference signal. During measurement number of nonius pulses to coincidence of nonius signal with any of auxiliary or basic reference signals is counted. Correction for auxiliary signal with which coincidence has occurred is added to obtained value. If nonius signal has coincided with basic reference signal then correction is not made. EFFECT: increased speed of action of nonius meters of time intervals without reduction of accuracy. 4 cl, 6 dwg
