METHOD OF SYNTHESIS OF SULFONYLUREAS AND ADDITIONAL COMPOUND Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention describes a new method of synthesis of sulfonylureas of the general formula (I) where X - oxygen atom or -SO₂NR²; Y - nitrogen atom or CH; R¹ is (C₁-C₆)-alkyl or if X means oxygen atom then R¹ is (C₁-C₄)-alkoxyphenyl; R² is (C₁-C₆)-alkyl; R³,R⁴ mean independently each of other (C₁-C₄)-alkyl or (C₁-C₄)-alkoxy-group; R⁵ - hydrogen atom or (C₁-C₄)-alkyl and R⁶ - hydrogen atom. Method involves the following stages of synthesis: (1a) compound of the formula (III): R⁸-OCN (III) where R⁸ - hydrogen atom or ammonium quaternary ion or one equivalent of mono-, di- or multivalent metal cations and if necessary in the presence of the compound of the formula (II): R¹-X-R⁷ where R¹ and X have the same values as in the formula (I) and where R⁷ - hydrogen atom or quaternary ammonium ion or one equivalent of mono-, di- or multivalent metal cations is interacted with the compound of the formula: (IV) SO₂Cl₂ (IV); (1b) adduce obtained in the stage (1a) being after isolation or without isolation is interacted with the compound of the formula (II) and (1c) adduce obtained in the stage (1b) after isolation or without isolation is interacted with the compound of the formula (V) where R³, R⁴, R⁵, X and Y have the same values as in the formula (I).
