FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: given method studying movement of object includes irradiation of studied object with coherent radiation with wave length λ, formation of interference signals, their conversion to electric ones, separation of coherent radiation into two rays. Optical length of path of second ray is increased by (2n- 1)(2n-1)λ/4/4, where n=1, 2, 3,...,interference signals of both rays are formed and converted to electric signals, electric signal of first or second ray is differentiated, signal equal to relation of differentiated electric signal from one ray to electric signal from the other ray is found. Spectral characteristic of found signal is taken, amplitudes of spectral components of movement of studied object are determined by proposed relation. Form of movement of object is obtained in addition by determined amplitudes of spectral components of movement of studied object with the aid of inverse Fourier transform. Operation of inversion can be conducted in addition. Both differentiated signal till determination of found signal and found signal till spectral characteristics are taken can be inverted as well as either magnitudes of spectral components of found signal after their taking or magnitudes of amplitudes of spectral components of movement of studied object after their determination.
