FIELD: electrical engineering; magnetoelectric generators producing single pulses. SUBSTANCE: electric pulse is produced by magnetoelectric pulse generator that has operating mechanism with accelerating spring; process includes operator's action on operating mechanism, compression of accelerating spring which imparts its force to generator armature, armature separation from poles under effect of accelerating spring; novelty is that at moment of armature separation from pole, force applied by accelerating spring to armature makes up 0.9 of armature pull-in force at poles of generator magnetic system at no air gap and armature drops out of poles by means of operating mechanism member acting on armature at moment of its separation in the direction of force applied by accelerating spring independently of the latter. EFFECT: eliminated effect of reduction in armature pull-in force during generator operation on force and kinematic relations between its operating mechanism and magnetic system.
