FIELD: production of liquid glass used as binder, additive or reactant in construction industry, petroleum production and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves solving impure sodium disilicate in water while heating and exposing reaction mass to pulsed microwave field with energy density of 0.6-4.5 kW/sq cm. Reactor has housing, thermostatic control and mixing systems; branch pipes and component supplying and liquid glass discharge hole. Reactor is provided with opening for accommodating waveguide - microwave field source covered with waveguide dielectric. Waveguide opening is made on reactor housing or cover. EFFECT: reduced time for producing liquid glass, improved filterability, improved yield per unit of equipment, and reduced power consumption. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
