FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Liquid glass is obtained by reacting in a closed loop a water-containing stream with a stream of molten sodium silicate with silica modulus of 2.0-3.5. The stream of molten sodium silicate is fed into an autoclave with water by opening the valve of a melting unit lying over the autoclave. The dissolution process is intensified by a mixer and the formed vapour is removed through a pipe for external use.
EFFECT: invention reduces power consumption in the process of dissolving sodium silicate in water.
