FIELD: sealing technique, possibly in different designation turbocompressor for sealing rotary shafts. SUBSTANCE: sealing of turbocompressor shaft includes mounted in housing axially movable sealing ring with pressure spring and mounted on shaft rotary sealing ring having sealing land and pressure portion limited by diameters on its end surface. Spiral grooves are provided on pressure portion. At least part of these grooves is grouped in at least three sections uniformly spaced along circle. Circumferential length of each section along outer diameter of ring is equal to summed circumferential lengths of inlet portions of spiral grooves of given section or it is less than that value. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of sealing, possibility of working at small rotation number of turbocompressor shaft. 3 cl, 6 dwg
