FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: wedging system for sheet-steel stator slots accommodating conducting bars or windings has end locks built up of upper prismatic body with inclined bottom surface and lower prismatic body facing upper one and having its surface inclined to lower surface of upper prismatic body in opposite direction; wedging can be effected by relative displacement of both prismatic bodies. According to invention, lower and upper prismatic bodies have mating surfaces to transmit forces from conducting bar or coil to upper body over entire length primarily at its center thereby causing greater shrinkage in radial direction which, in its turn, may compensate for shrinkage in winding. In this way, elasticity of upper prismatic body in crosswise direction if utilized to utmost extent. EFFECT: enlarged maintenance intervals and improved performance characteristics of electrical machine. 8 cl, 7 dwg
