RAISING AND TURNING GATES Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: raising and turning gates are intended for closing openings in various buildings and structures. Gate is made up of two pivotally interconnected leaves which are installed on rollers in vertical guide members. Also provided is sealing component in the form of frame with resilient liner, and actuating unit. Leaves of gate are made of equal arms. Axles of the pivots are displaced and sunk in sealing component. With respect to each other, leaves create joint of dovetail type. Aforesaid embodiment of raising and turning gates ensures more uniform load brought to bear on actuating unit, improves hermetization of gate together with high operating reliability and convenience in servicing.
