FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: section of powered support is used for supporting of stoping space. Section of powered support has cover, base in which posts are installed in spherical pads with possibility of turning. Cylinders of posts are provided with symmetrically located journals which are freely seated in eye-lugs of base pads. Journals are made in the form of cylinder or prism. Their height is larger than their diameter or width. They are located along generants of post cylinders. Internal surfaces of eye-lugs of base pads are of L configuration with one of corners being cutout. Dimension of side cutout is slightly larger than diameter or width of journals. Aforesaid embodiment of powered support ensures its higher reliability and safety in operation due to preventing disengagement of post cylinder from base at movement of support with active supporting of roof due to restricted free stroke of post relative to base eye-lugs.
