FIELD: metallurgy; kilns suited for powder roasting. SUBSTANCE: kiln has directly fired rotary kiln proper in which at least part of inner round wall is provided with many projections. Shape of projections precludes rising of powder in process of kiln operation. Projections are made in form of triangular prism and are arranged inside kiln to pass through powder like a plough. Upper face of prism is isosceles triangle in which equal angles exceed angle of natural bank of powder for which kiln is designed. Refractory block for directly-fired kiln has at least one prismatic projection located on one side of main body.
